Event Support & Moving Services

Planning an event on campus? Is your office moving? Facilities Services will work with you to coordinate the set up and break down of the event. We can also move your furniture and boxes, or arrange for the delivery and pickup of various pieces of equipment (tables, chairs, etc.).

Event Support

The following are the services and inventory available for your special event on a first-come, first-served basis.


  • Cleaning
  • Carpentry
  • Electrical
  • Set up and take down of rented items
  • Refuse collection

Plants (Silk)

* Silk plants are for indoor use only. Clients are responsible for lost or damaged plants.

Cost Delivery Additional Charges
$10 per plant + delivery 1-12 plants = $25
13+ plants = $35
If less than two full days' notice given, there is a $50 charge.

Requesting Event Support

To request services or inventory for your event, please complete an online Event Planning Request form.

How to Request Assistance

To request assistance with planning your event or move, contact the Facilities Service Center at 512-471-2020 or email us. You may check the status of your request in WORQS by reading the "Requestor Profile" page.

Submit your request as early as possible in your planning process because our services are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and event inventory quantities are limited. Be as specific as possible about the details of your event and event-support needs.
