Associate Director, Landscape & Integrated Building Services
Bridget has more than 31 years in design, construction, and facilities services experience, with 17 of those years in facilities management. In addition to her responsibilities as associate director for Landscape & Integrated Building Services, Bridget serves as the department’s emergency operations officer and special projects liaison. Prior to joining Facilities Services, she worked for Phillips Petroleum, Oregon Health & Science University, Matrix Architects Engineers Planners, Inc., and for the Houston Zoo as director of facilities. This combination of experience from the manual drawing board to hurricane preparation for nearly six thousand animals has developed Bridget’s passion for facilities. Bridget holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in anthropology from the University of Oregon and an associate in applied science degree in drafting and design technology from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.
Manager, Landscape Services
Jim has spent 20 years in the tree care and landscape profession. He has been an assistant manager with Landscape Services at UT Austin since 2011. In this role he has overseen the forestry team and the Tree Campus USA program as well as landscape maintenance at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus and West Pickle Campus. Prior to joining UT, he served as an urban forester for the Texas A&M Forest Service, and as an arborist with the City of Round Rock. Jim is a forestry graduate of Colorado State University, and an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborist and municipal specialist. He is also a Texas Licensed Irrigator. He is a past president of the ISA Texas Chapter and a member of the Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS).
Manager, Building Logistics & Keys
Ben has ten years of experience in facilities services. He is a graduate of The University of Texas and a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he was responsible for nuclear weapons security. After his military service and before returning to UT to work, Ben served in operations management at three Fortune 100 companies, Gap Inc., Technicolor, and Dell, where he focused on manufacturing and distribution operations.
Manager, Resource Recovery
Bobby has 35 years of experience in facilities management and human resources management in both the public and private sectors. He came to UT and Facilities Services in 2005 as a training manager in Custodial Services. He moved to University Unions in 2013 as assistant director of project management before rejoining us again in December 2015. Prior to UT, he led searches at an executive recruiting firm, and before that, he served as a director of facilities in the high-tech industry at Computer Science Corporation and at Samsung. He holds a BA from Texas State University.
Assistant Manager, Irrigation & Installation
Luis has over 30 years of experience with landscape management at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the Irrigation Association, Professional Grounds Management Society, and Texas Nursery and Landscape Association.
Lisa Lennon, ASLA, PLA
Landscape Architect, Operations
Lisa has over 20 years of combined experience in horticulture and landscape architecture. She is a licensed Professional Landscape Architect and member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. She holds a B.S. degree from The University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. degree in horticulture from Tarleton State University, and an M.L.A. degree from the University of Arizona. Prior to the joining Facilities Services at the University of Texas, Lisa worked at Ten Eyck Landscape Architects and for the consulting firm, Bury (now Stantec) as a landscape designer, where she developed her proficiency in sustainable and maintainable designs. Her skills include landscape construction/administration and maintenance, commercial and residential landscape design, and urban entomology.
Zero Waste Sr. Program Coordinator
McKenzie has 10 years of experience developing and implementing sustainability programs in higher education. She received her Master of Public Affairs degree from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in international studies, both from Indiana University. Prior to joining Facilities Services, McKenzie worked as the sustainability coordinator for Butler University and for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
